From filmmakers to artists, Hollywood misplaced many stars in 2025.
Information broke on January 4 that Aubrey Plaza’s estranged husband, Jeff Baena, died at some point earlier on the age of 47. Per medical expert data seen by Us Weekly, Baena died by suicide.
“That is an unimaginable tragedy,” Plaza’s rep mentioned in an announcement to Us on January 6 on behalf of the actress and her household. “We’re deeply grateful to everybody who has supplied help. Please respect our privateness throughout this time.” (It was revealed on March 19 that Plaza and Baena had been separated for 4 months on the time of his dying.)
Days after Baena’s dying, supervisor Simon Jones shared that RuPaul’s Drag Race star James Lee Williams — higher referred to as The Vivienne — died at age 32.
“James was an extremely cherished, warm-hearted and superb individual,” the publicist shared in an Instagram assertion on January 5. “Their household are heartbroken on the lack of their son, brother and uncle. They’re so happy with the great issues James achieved of their life and profession. We won’t be releasing any additional particulars. We please ask that James’s household are given the time and privateness they now have to course of and grieve.”
The subsequent day, authorities confirmed that the beloved drag queen’s dying had “no suspicious circumstances.” Williams’ household confirmed to BBC Information on March 17 that the truth star’s reason for dying was cardiac arrest brought on by ketamine use.
