To the editor: The combat over the Kenneth Hahn Corridor of Administration jogs my memory of the unsuccessful battle to save lots of the Ambassador Resort (“Fixing this downtown L.A. constructing would price $700 million, the county mentioned. Critics say that’s manner off,” Dec. 11). It too might have been retrofitted, but the L.A. Unified Faculty District selected to demolish it and construct a pallid duplicate of the unique, shedding one more historic Los Angeles landmark.
What scares me too is, within the occasion of a significant earthquake or fireplace, how will the various tons of of county staff and personal residents quickly and safely evacuate the Fuel Firm Tower? Suppose again to the World Commerce Heart on 9/11.
The federal government is just not at all times the wisest.
