A person was arrested after stabbing eight individuals and injuring seven others with what was believed to be bleach at a tire manufacturing facility in central Japan on Friday, officers stated. There was no fast clarification of his motive.

Eight individuals have been taken to hospitals after being stabbed by the person with a knife on the Yokohama Rubber Firm within the metropolis of Mishima, within the Shizuoka prefecture, west of Tokyo, based on the Fujisan Nanto Hearth Division.

The division advised The Related Press 5 of the individuals stabbed have been in critical situation however different particulars weren’t obtainable.

Seven others have been injured by the liquid thrown at them through the assault and delivered to hospitals, the fireplace division stated.  

Shizuoka prefectural police stated the attacker, a 38-year-old man, was arrested for alleged tried homicide on the manufacturing facility.

The Asahi Shimbun every day newspaper quoted investigative sources as saying that the person had ties to the manufacturing facility. The paper and Japanese broadcaster NHK reported he was carrying what gave the impression to be a gasoline masks and was armed with what a survival knife.
