Sharon Osbourne and her daughter Kelly delivered a moving speech as the late Ozzy Osbourne received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2026 BRIT Awards. The Black Sabbath frontman, who passed away in July 2025 at age 76, earned the honor just two weeks after his farewell concert at Villa Park in Birmingham.
Dolly Parton Introduces Emotional Acceptance
Dolly Parton introduced Sharon and Kelly via a pre-recorded message from Nashville. Sharon described her late husband as “the most humble egomaniac you could ever meet,” standing with Kelly by her side.
“I’m honoured to accept this award from my gorgeous husband, this Lifetime Achievement Award. God knows, I wish he was here to accept it himself,” Sharon told the crowd. She noted Ozzy hated speeches but shared stories of his journey from a working-class Birmingham neighborhood to global stardom.
Sharon highlighted his highs and lows, relentless drive for improvement, and deep pride in his Brummie roots. “We spent most of our lives touring the world, but Ozzy’s heart never left England,” she said. “Wherever we were, he was always proud to be that working-class Brummie.”
She accepted the award on behalf of Ozzy’s family, fellow musicians, and fans who lined Birmingham streets during his memorial. “If Ozzy was here tonight, he would be showing us that gorgeous smile, and I know he would be so proud to receive this from the country that he loved,” Sharon added. “He left us one amazing body of work that will never be forgotten.”
Kelly Osbourne’s Touching Words and Crowd Reaction
Kelly then took the microphone, saying, “Thank you for loving my father as much as we do.” She quipped, “I hope I don’t disrespect Manchester by saying this, but up the Villa and Birmingham,” supporting her father’s beloved Aston Villa team.
The Manchester crowd responded with playful boos, prompting Sharon to laugh: “Knew you were gonna get that. I told you.”
Robbie Williams’ Powerful Performance
Robbie Williams closed the tribute by fronting a supergroup featuring Adam Wakeman, Robert Trujillo, Tommy Clufetos, and Zakk Wylde—members of Ozzy’s band—for a rendition of “No More Tears.” Massive images of Ozzy appeared onscreen behind the performers.
Fans praised the finale online, calling it a “fitting tribute to the Prince of Darkness” and noting Williams “smashed it” in the hard rock style.
