Sen. Mark Kelly, D-Ariz., filed a lawsuit Monday in opposition to Protection Secretary Pete Hegseth and the Pentagon, charging their effort to censure and demote him is “illegal and unconstitutional.”

Hegseth mentioned final week that the Pentagon was taking steps to downgrade Kelly’s army retirement rank and pay due to his “seditious statements” — a reference to a video he and different retired service members launched that urged members of the army to not adjust to unlawful orders.
