Incident Details

Montreal police spokesperson Caroline Chèvrefils stated the collision occurred around 3:30 a.m. on Marcel-Laurin Boulevard, north of Henri-Bourassa Boulevard. The truck impacted protective beams on the viaduct, prompting a temporary shutdown of train service.

Shuttle buses operated in the affected area during the disruption. Authorities closed Marcel-Laurin Boulevard to traffic following the incident but reopened it just before 6 a.m. By 7 a.m., engineers completed structural safety assessments, allowing trains to gradually resume normal operations.

Previous Similar Event

This marks the second such collision at the same viaduct. In November, another truck struck the structure, causing minor damage and a brief service interruption before engineers verified its integrity.
