Philadelphia Phillies shortstop Trea Turner left Sunday’s 5-4 loss to the Miami Marlins with a proper hamstring pressure, elevating concern for one of many Nationwide League’s best hitters because the postseason approaches.

Turner pulled up after racing to beat out a floor ball that resulted in an error within the seventh inning. He instantly motioned to the dugout and walked off beneath his personal energy earlier than being changed by Edmundo Sosa. The 32-year-old had homered in his earlier at-bat and completed 1-for-4 on the day.

Turner will endure an MRI on Monday.

“There’s some concern there,” Phillies supervisor Rob Thomson informed reporters. “He is having an excellent 12 months and he is a giant a part of this ball membership. We’ll know extra tomorrow.”

The three-time All-Star is batting .305 with 15 residence runs, 69 RBIs and 36 stolen bases this season, whereas main the NL in hits (179). He missed six weeks final 12 months with a hamstring harm.
