Broadcaster Mehdi Hasan took aim at Megyn Kelly after she lauded Turning Point USA’s Sunday Halftime Show, led by Kid Rock. After many conservatives expressed reservations over the Super Bowl event headlined by Bad Bunny, TPUSA organized an alternative show.

Many conservative political commentators, including Megyn Kelly, supported TPUSA’s version. In her X post, Kelly voiced her thoughts and wrote, “I am in tears at that BEAUTIFUL halftime show.” At the same time, Kid Rock came under scrutiny after footage emerged online capturing him making remarks about the Olsen twins.

According to the San Francisco Chronicle, the viral clip was from Kid Rock’s 2001 appearance on Saturday Night Live. In the footage, the singer could be seen making a joke about the Olsen twins, who were in their teens at the time.

“The Olsen twins. Why is every guy in America waiting for these chicks to turn 18? I mean, you know what I say? ‘There’s grass on the field, play ball,'” Kid Rock commented.

On February 9, Mehdi Hasan reshared the aforementioned clip and questioned Megyn Kelly’s support for the singer.

“This is their hero. This is who brought Megyn Kelly to tears and who RFK was hanging out with,” Hasan posted.

Mehdi Hasan also condemned Megyn Kelly’s discussion with Piers Morgan over the Super Bowl Halftime controversy. During the debate, Kelly strongly criticized Bad Bunny’s performance in Spanish at the Super Bowl. Hasan reacted to Kelly’s remarks and accused her of “spouting insane far-right conspiracies.”

Heated debate erupts between Megyn Kelly and Piers Morgan over Bad Bunny’s performance

Megyn Kelly says Bad Bunny performing his Super Bowl halftime show in Spanish was “a middle finger to the rest of America”.“Football is OURS!”

Megyn Kelly appeared on the Monday episode of Piers Morgan’s show, wherein she engaged in a fierce debate over Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl performance. Morgan began by stating that he enjoyed the show and said it “was about love.” The British broadcaster then asked Kelly about her “problem” with this year’s Halftime Show.

In her response, Kelly cited the Puerto Rican singer’s alleged stance against anti-immigrant policies. She alleged that the singer “doesn’t want illegals deported” from the US. The podcaster also conveyed her objection to Bad Bunny’s performance in Spanish.

“To get up there and perform the whole show in Spanish is a middle finger to the rest of America. Who gives a damn that we have 40 million Spanish speakers in the United States? We have 310 million who don’t speak a lick of Spanish,” she commented.

Megyn Kelly said that the Super Bowl was supposed to be a “unifying event” for the country and not only “for the Latinos.” Piers Morgan interjected by arguing that English is not the official language of the United States. Kelly responded that “people have been pushing” to make it official. She fired back at the British broadcaster and said:

“This attitude that you have right here is why you in Great Britain have lost your culture. You ceded your culture to a bunch of radical Muslims who came in and took over, and now it’s gone. We’re not allowing that here. Whether it’s Hispanic, whether it’s Muslim, it’s not happening in the United States of America.”

President Trump also weighed in on the Super Bowl controversy and shared his take via a Truth Social post. The POTUS called this year’s Super Bowl Halftime Show “terrible.”
