A major WWE Legend has quit the Stamford-based promotion after spending nearly 12 years there. The departure has come as a major shock to a lot of people around the world. The Legend in question is the Hall of Famer and D-Generation X member Road Dogg aka Brian James.
James had been working in backstage roles in the company since WrestleMania 30 back in 2014. He also joined the Stamford-based company’s creative department in 2022 after Triple H took over. Under the leadership of Triple H and Nick Khan, the former Tag Team Champion was a major part of the company’s creative team.
Thanks for the submission!
However, he has reportedly exited the company. As per Bodyslam, the Legend was upset because his role in the creative department was diminishing over the recent months. It was also reported that someone in the company even stated that it was inevitable that Road Dogg was leaving WWE.
It will be interesting to see what’s next for the New Age Outlaw now that he’s no longer a part of the Stamford-based company.
Road Dogg can go to AEW and reunite with Billy Gunn after WWE departure
Road Dogg was a part of the famous tag team known as the New Age Outlaws alongside Billy Gunn. The two were a subgroup in D-Generation X led by Triple H and Shawn Michaels. Gunn joined All Elite Wrestling back when the promotion was formed back in 2019.
Since then, he has made sporadic appearances in WWE as well. Now that Road Dogg is no longer in the Entertainment Juggernaut, he could go to Tony Khan’s promotion and reunite with his former tag team partner. James could join Gunn as a member of the Acclaimed and make some appearances on-screen. He could also contribute to All Elite Wrestling’s creative department.
Fans are curious if they will get to see the New Age Outlaws together in an AEW ring.
