Brock Lesnar is set to make his return to television on next week’s episode of WWE RAW. The Beast Incarnate was last seen at the Royal Rumble, where he failed to win the titular men’s match.

Ahead of his return, Lesnar has been challenged to a match by Tommy Dreamer. The 55-year-old veteran responded to a post on X, highlighting that Lesnar hasn’t had a match on the red brand’s show in the last 23 years, and on SmackDown in over six years.

Dreamer stated that he was in Atlanta during Brock Lesnar’s return, hinting at challenging The Beast Incarnate on RAW. The ECW veteran claimed it would be a rematch 24 years in the making, as he previously collided with Lesnar in a Singapore Cane Match on the July 22, 2002, episode of the red brand’s show.

“I’m in ATL that week. The rematch 24 years in the making,” he wrote.

John Cena reveals the reason why Brock Lesnar squashed him at Wrestlepalooza

Lesnar made his shocking return to WWE in the closing moments of SummerSlam night two, taking out John Cena with an F-5. Cena and Lesnar locked horns for the final time at Wrestlepalooza, where The Beast Incarnate scored a one-sided win over The Cenation Leader.

Speaking on the No Contest Wrestling podcast, Cena revealed why he was squashed by Lesnar.

“Could I have put together a better performative match with Brock Lesnar? Sure. But it doesn’t tell the story, doesn’t creatively tell the story. We got to reintroduce this guy. Everybody needs to know he means business. How do you do that? By taking the one entity that can lose, not lose steam. It’s like an exhibition match,” Cena said.

John Cena hung up his wrestling boots on the December 13 edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event, losing to Gunther in his final in-ring outing.
