India skipper Suryakumar Yadav took on premier all-rounder Hardik Pandya during a net session, striking him for several towering hits ahead of the Men in Blue’s T20 World Cup 2026 clash against Namibia. The match is scheduled to be played later today, Thursday, February 12, at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi.

As part of their preparations, the hosts held an intense training session on February 11, where Suryakumar looked in fine touch against Hardik’s bowling. Later, Hardik also had a turn with the bat in the nets and showcased his power-hitting ability with an array of impressive big shots.

Suryakumar Yadav will enter the upcoming contest high on confidence after delivering a scintillating unbeaten 84 off just 49 deliveries in India’s tournament opener against the USA on February 7 in Mumbai. The knock, studded with 10 fours and four sixes, powered the Men in Blue to a competitive total of 161.

Defending the target, India’s bowlers produced a clinical performance to restrict the USA to 132, sealing a convincing 29-run win, with Suryakumar claiming the Player of the Match award.

As India and Namibia prepare to face off in the 18th match of the T20 World Cup 2026, the two sides have previously met only once in T20Is. That encounter took place during the T20 World Cup 2021 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

Asked to bat first, Namibia posted 132/8 in their 20 overs. Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin picked up three wickets each, while Jasprit Bumrah claimed two. Hardik Pandya did not bowl in the match.

In reply, Rohit Sharma scored 56 off 37 balls, while KL Rahul remained unbeaten on 54 off 36 deliveries. Suryakumar Yadav also stayed not out on 25 off 19 as the Men in Blue secured a comfortable nine-wicket victory with 28 balls to spare.
