A star is open to a WWE return after 2121 days. In the last few years, fans have witnessed many names show up in the Stamford-based promotion after a lengthy time away.

Recently at the Royal Rumble, Brie Bella also made her return after nearly seven years. Now, one more name has revealed that she is keen on appearing on WWE programming.

That name is none other than former Diva Maria Kanellis. Maria was a part of the sports entertainment giant during the Ruthless Aggression Era in her first stint with the company, before being released in 2010. She was then rehired in 2017.

She was released for a second time by the promotion on April 15, 2020, along with her husband, Mike Bennett, amid budget cuts. However, she recently threw her name in the hat for the role of the new NXT general manager.

Last week, Ava left WWE, which ended her tenure as the brand’s GM. Taking to X (Twitter), a fan posted that Maria Kanellis would make a great GM for the brand, and the Diva didn’t take long to respond and said she was available.

“I’m available…,” she wrote.

Maria Kanellis teamed up with John Cena in WWE

Maria Kanellis was hired by WWE following her participation in the Diva Search competition in 2004. She was initially presented as a confused backstage announcer.

She then transitioned to a more prominent role and began competing in matches. Maria even teamed up with John Cena for a tag team match against Edge and Lita on an episode of RAW.

She would also receive a few title opportunities during this time. After her exit from the promotion, she had stints in Ring of Honor, TNA, and New Japan. She returned to the Stamford-based promotion in 2017 as the manager for her husband and won the 24/7 championship during her second run with the company.
