Activist Laura Loomer has alleged that Nancy Guthrie was kidnapped by an “illegal alien” and her kidnappers have “Hispanic features.” Guthrie has been missing from her residence since January 31, 2026.
In an X post dated February 11, Laura Loomer shared her thoughts on Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance, which is speculated to be a kidnapping. She wrote:
“I’m from Tucson. My assessment of the Nancy Guthrie kidnapping is that she was likely kidnapped by an illegal alien. There are so many illegal alien robberies. The people who kidnapped her look like they have very Hispanic features under the mask. Everyone knows it.”
Nancy Guthrie, the mother of Today show co-host Savannah Guthrie was last seen at her residence in Arizona on the evening of January 31. Since then, at least two messages from suspected kidnappers were shared through local media. Savannah Guthrie, alongside her siblings Annie and Camron, said in a video last week that they were willing to “pay” to get their mother back.
Meanwhile, the FBI has been on the lookout for Guthrie and has offered $50K for any information leading to her recovery. She is described as having difficulty walking and heart problems with a pacemaker. A local man from Arizona was detained by the police on Tuesday and was also questioned about Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance, but was released after the questioning.
Exploring the latest developments in Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance

In the latest developments in Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance, the police released images and videos of a masked man allegedly trying to tamper with the camera on Guthrie’s front door. These videos and images come from the day of her disappearance. In the videos, a man whose face is entirely covered can be seen, and the police believe he was armed.
After the photos and videos were released, the police detained a man from Rico Riz, Arizona. In an interview with ABC15, the detained man, identified as FedEx delivery driver Carlos Palazuelos, mentioned that he has no idea who Nancy Guthrie is and denied any involvement in her disappearance or alleged kidnapping. He said he may have delivered a parcel to Guthrie’s home. He and his were reportedly questioned.
The police also conducted a search of an area in Rico Riz, Arizona, in relation to Guthrie’s disappearance. In an interview with Fox News on Tuesday, FBI Director Kash Patel also shared updates about the case.
“Without polluting the investigation, I will say we have made substantial progress in these last 36 to 48 hours, thanks to the technical capabilities of the FBI and our partnerships, and I do believe we are looking at people who, as we say, are persons of interest. As you know, with any investigation, you’re a person of interest until you’re either eliminated or you’re actually found to be the culprit or the culprits involved, and that’s the stage we’re at right now,” Patel said.
Patel added:
“We were able to exploit information pursuant to our private sector partner engagements that showed us that there might be persons of interest in and around the area related to this event. First and foremost, our priority is to find Nancy Guthrie. And, of course, right behind that is to find anyone and any others involved in this kidnapping case to make sure they’re brought to justice. And that’s what we’re doing, protecting the integrity of the investigation, but we’re also being very public.”
Last week, anchor Savannah Guthrie, claimed she was ready to “pay” to get her mother back after speculation about her being kidnapped. Further updates on the case are awaited.
