A budding indie name is still not signed with AEW, in spite of her professed interest in joining the Tony Khan-led company’s roster. The star in question, Charli Evans, is seemingly determined nonetheless to become officially All Elite.

CHEVS, as the grappler is also known, began her journey inside the squared circle back in 2014, cutting her teeth competing in Australian independent promotions such as Newcastle Pro Wrestling, Pro Wrestling Australia, Australian Wrestling Entertainment and Rock ‘N’ Roll Wrestling Australia. Over the next few years, she continued to perform in companies across the US, such as GCW, SHIMMER Women Athletes, The Wrestling Revolver and BLP, and even made appearances for Pro-Wrestling: Eve and RevPro in the UK.

Earlier this month, Evans unsuccessfully faced off against Mina Shirakawa at an ROH taping in Sydney. The following day in Boondall, Queensland at AEW House Rules Australia, she teamed with Kyla Knight in a losing effort against The Brawling Birds, the team of Alex Windsor and Jamie Hayter. Despite these recent appearances, it has been reported by Fightful Select that CHEVS is not officially signed with the Jacksonville-based company yet.

Moreover, The “Violence Artist”, who has been open about her desire to join the AEW roster, responded to this report herself on X/Twitter, voicing her motivation to secure a deal with the promotion.

“let’s change that,” CHEVS wrote.

It remains to be seen whether Evans will be able to land an All Elite Wrestling contract anytime soon.

Another Australian star broke her silence after AEW debut and signing

Earlier this month at Grand Slam Australia, The Babes of Wrath successfully defended their AEW Women’s World Tag Team Titles against Megan Bayne and Penelope Ford. After the bout, however, Harley Cameron was blindsided by Lena Kross, while The Megasus took out Willow Nightingale, spoiling the champions’ celebration. The Hottest Commodity stood tall alongside MegaBad, seemingly aligning herself with the dominant heel duo, and was soon announced to be officially All Elite.

Soon after, Lena took to X/Twitter to break her silence regarding her signing, posting:

“Where the best wrestle 😏🔥 #ALLELITE,” wrote Lena.

Where the best wrestle 😏🔥 #ALLELITE

Furthermore, former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions and former Impact Knockouts Tag Team Champions, The IInspiration, made their All Elite debuts at House Rules Australia following on the heels of Grand Slam.
