Reed Blankenship signed a three-year, $24.75 million contract with the Houston Texans as a free agent, reports confirmed on Monday. The safety was signed by the Philadelphia Eagles as an undrafted free agent in 2022 and played the past four seasons with them.

After Blankenship’s move to the Texans was completed, Philly cornerback Cooper DeJean shared an emotional message for his former teammate on Instagram.

“Damn, gonna miss my dawg. Go be great brotha,” DeJean wrote while dedicated an Instagram story to Blankenship.
