A popular AEW star has just signed a new contract with the company, as revealed in a report that came out today. This looks to be a good move after an incredible year they’ve had with the promotion.

Kevin Knight became All-Elite in the earlier parts of 2025 after his NJPW contract came to an end. He was linked to WWE at the time, but he ended up declining their offer after he was asked to have a tryout at the Performance Center. He ended up having a great run throughout the year, with an impressive showing in the Continental Classic and a reign as one-third of the world trios champions.

The Jet signed a one-year deal last year with AEW, following his time with New Japan. Fightful Select has just reported that he has re-signed with the promotion, and this time, it is a multi-year contract. It was mentioned that the signing was made earlier this year.

The AEW star seemingly paid tribute to AJ Styles this week

A few days ago on Dynamite, Kevin Knight took on MJF for the AEW World Championship. While he would end up being unsuccessful in dethroning the champion, he put on a show and could’ve won the match if not for Friedman’s dirty tactics.

There was a recent discourse on social media where fans claimed that Knight was the only one who could pull off a move that the Phenomenal One did during the early days of his career. This was an over-the-rope dive into a clothesline. MJF claimed that he couldn’t do it as he wasn’t as athletic as Styles.

It seems that The Jet took this personally and brought out this move for their match on Dynamite. He pulled this off, and this looked like a great tribute to the Phenomenal One.

Kevin Knight is one of the top stars on the roster who is still under 30 years old. The company has put its trust in him as one of the stars of the future, and he has proven that he has what it takes to do this. He could be someone to keep an eye on for years to come.
