A New York Metropolis police officer was shot in Midtown Manhattan on Monday night, police confirmed.

A minimum of two civilians had been additionally wounded within the taking pictures and the suspect died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, regulation enforcement sources stated.

Police stated they responded to a name for pictures fired simply earlier than 6:40 p.m. at 345 Park Ave. The world was blocked off and the constructing was being evacuated, CBS Information New York has realized.
