Minnesota state Sen. Nicole Mitchell was convicted of felony housebreaking Friday, greater than a 12 months after she was arrested whereas breaking into her stepmother’s house.

Footage of Mitchell inside a police cruiser handcuffed and being questioned was proven at her trial. When she was arrested, officers discovered a flashlight lined with a black sock on her. Moreover, officers stated they searched a black backpack and located two laptops, a cellphone, a driver’s license, Senate identification and Tupperware merchandise.
