She made curbing migration a keystone of her profitable 2022 election marketing campaign. Now, the federal government of hard-right Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni has agreed to let virtually 500,000 documented immigrants enter Italy over the following three years. Her cupboard has introduced that it might be issuing work visas for practically half 1,000,000 non-EU nationals between 2026 and 2028.
