A Maryland Democrat is pushing to strip anonymity from ICE brokers accused of violent or unconstitutional misconduct, proposing a brand new “digital unmasking” course of that he says would protect figuring out information, so victims can pursue accountability in courtroom.

Moon launched the invoice a day after 37-year-old Renee Nicole Good was shot and killed by an ICE agent in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on Jan. 7.

Cellphone video of the encounter has sparked widespread response from officers and lawmakers, as federal authorities moved shortly to defend the ICE agent concerned within the taking pictures.

Federal officers have mentioned the agent acted in self-defense after Good drove her car towards him, with the Division of Homeland Safety describing her actions as “an act of home terrorism.”
