A horrifying second aboard a Disney Cruise Line ship was an unbelievable rescue at sea after a baby fell overboard and her father leapt in after her.

The June 29 incident occurred because the Disney Dream was returning to Fort Lauderdale from a four-night Bahamian crusing, together with a cease at Disney’s Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Level. As first reported by The Road, the emergency code “Mr. M.O.B.” (man overboard) rang out over the ship’s intercom, signaling an pressing response.

“The Crew aboard the Disney Dream swiftly rescued two friends from the water,” a Disney Cruise Line spokesperson advised USA TODAY in an announcement. “We commend our Crew Members for his or her distinctive abilities and immediate actions, which ensured the protected return of each friends to the ship inside minutes. We’re dedicated to the security and well-being of our friends, and this incident highlights the effectiveness of our security protocols.”

Social media posts from cruisers described the fast response from crew members, who launched life preservers and deployed a rescue boat inside minutes. In a Fb publish, passenger Kevin Furuta stated, “A lady fell overboard from the 4th deck & her dad went in after her … Fortunately the DCL rescue crew was on it instantly and each had been saved!”

The Disney Dream sailed out of Port Canaveral.
