To the editor: There’s definitely a lot to admire about Mayor Karen Bass’ inexpensive housing plan (“L.A. Metropolis Council passes ordinance to streamline inexpensive housing,” Dec. 9).

Nevertheless, there was a giant lacking ingredient within the article: Nowhere is there any dialogue of the prices of the initiatives concerned on this plan. Up to now, city-funded “inexpensive housing” could also be inexpensive for the fortunate few who truly dwell within the sponsored models, however the prices to provide the models had been off-the-charts costly — a whole lot of 1000’s of {dollars} for every house.

I’d wish to see a follow-up article on whether or not or not the “inexpensive housing plan” is definitely inexpensive for the taxpayers of Los Angeles.
