To the editor: Let me see if I’ve this proper. Jose Ugarte co-owns a “lobbying and consulting” agency along with his sister and must pay a $17,500 nice for failing to reveal earnings he constituted of his lobbying and consulting agency whereas working as a council staffer (“L.A. Metropolis Council candidate to be fined $17,500 for ethics violation,” Oct. 21).
Simply precisely who’s his agency lobbying and consulting on behalf of? And, with a straight face, he has the nerve to run for Metropolis Council? Aren’t there guidelines towards that sort of factor? How does he even get near the Metropolis Council?
Do they suppose Angelenos are actually that silly? Everyone knows L.A. Metropolis Council has points, however that is nuts.
