To the editor: Am I the one one who sees an impending catastrophe if Los Angeles Worldwide Airport goes forward with its “roadway enchancment” plan (“LAX accepted $1.5 billion to alleviate visitors. Opponents say it gained’t work,” Nov. 15)?
The horseshoe (the worst a part of LAX’s visitors issues) won’t be improved. There are many educated folks, a few of whom spoke for this text, who assume that this plan won’t work. And maybe most significantly, the mission as proposed is scheduled to be accomplished a mere two months earlier than the Olympics. Simply have a look at the yet-to-be-completed Automated Individuals Mover, which is over funds and means overdue.
Additionally observe that one of many main contractors on this proposed mission is similar firm that’s answerable for the delayed Individuals Mover. This isn’t going to end up properly.
