In this guide, we will break down everything about Last Epoch Season 4: Shattered Omens.
Last Epoch Season 4 release details
Launch date: March 26, 2026
Seasonal mechanics: Shattered Omens
The release date of Season 4 was confirmed alongside details about Season 5 and the Orobyss free expansion. Season 4 will be available to all existing players for free.
Seasonal Mechanics: Omen Windows

The central mechanic of Season 4 is Omen Windows, which is a new type of random encounter that can appear in both the campaign and endgame of Last Epoch. Omen Windows are fractures in reality that are connected to the despair of the Observer. Entering an Omen Window enfolds in a circular arena and summons a void-based entity called the Omen.
This encounter is set in three stages: First, the Omen is invulnerable and enhances elite Fractured enemies. To increase the encounter area, you must slay enemies inside the ring. Once you have slain a significant number of enemies, the Omen will absorb all remaining enemies, and then only then can you attack it directly.
The Omen Windows difficulty level scales alongside players as they advance into the campaign and higher corruption levels of the Monolith of Fate.
Omen Window rewards
The new Omen Window system introduces multiple new reward systems. These are as follows:
1) Rune of Corruption

Omens can drop Runes of Corruption in Last Epoch. These are a new crafting material that corrupts your gear, granting them massive, unpredictable buffs that either improve the gear or destroy it. Runs of Corruption often grant unique modifiers that are only available through them, making it a high-risk, high-reward mechanic.
2) Timeglass Fragments
These are a new type of currency in the Last epoch, which can be used to purchase Runes of Corruption and new Woven Echoes. Timeglass Fragments can also be used in the endgame to access a powerful variant of Omen Windows called the Greater Omen Window. Completing a Greater Omen Window improves the Omen Window into a Timinglass Core. This can be used to modify your Echo Web directly.
Improved endgame and Echo Chains

Season 4 of Last Epoch adds Echo Chains to the Monolith of Fate. This is designed specifically to reduce the downtime and improve map flow. Echo Chains are a group of linked Echoes that appear within a Monolith Timeline’s Web.
This mechanic allows players to jump between Echoes directly, without the need to return to the Monolith hub, lowering the downtime between runs. These Echo Chains focus primarily on similar mechanics and end with a highly rewarding Echo, similar to Conquered Tower.
Players can also increase Echo Chain frequency at a new Weaver tree node or the web using the Greater Omen Window encounters.
Updates to the Rogue class: New Skills
The Rogue class is getting two new skills in Season 4 of Last Epoch.
1) Shadow Rend

Shadow Rend is a new Rogue ability that is usable with both bows and melee weapons. It is a high-cost, high-impact skill that ties into the Shadow toolkit of the Rogue class in Last Epoch.

Shadow Rend is a delayed attack; once used, the initial attack leaves behind a shadow that unleashes a devastating attack at a delayed time. This Shadow persists and interacts with other shadow-based attacks.
2) Bladestorm

Bladestorm has been expanded upon in Season 4 from the popular Umbral Blades tree and turned into its own standalone skill. Bladestorm launches a spinning blade at a specific target, which shreds anything in its path, granting the ability to control mobs. Bladestorm, combined with Shuriken Storm, can deal massive amounts of consistent damage in a larger area.
The Bladestorm skill node offers extensive customizable options, while Umbral Blade is set to receive new changes following the removal of Bladestorm.

Changes to Spellblade mastery
The Spellblade mastery is set to receive major reworks to improve the melee-spellcaster hybrid playstyle.
- ‘Mana spent on melee attacks is converted to ward’ has been changed to ‘30% of added melee damage on weapons is also gained as added spell damage’. This completely alters the benefit received from the Spellblade mastery in Last Epoch.

- Improved mana recovery and sources have been added to the tree. This includes Blade Conduit (casting spells grants you up to 5 stacks of Blade Conduit, and each stack increases mana recovery) and Flame Drinker (casting melee skills that cost mana now consumes all stacks of Fire Aura and restores mana per stack).

- New and improved spell trigger effects have been added to the Spellblade skill tree. These include Thermopile (killing an enemy directly with Flame Reave automatically casts Lightning Blast), Unrelenting Winter (hitting enemies with Ice Spikes has a 20% chance to cast a Glacier), and Scorched Earth (directly killing an enemy using a Flame Reave casts a Fireball at a random enemy within six meters).
Beyond these, Eleventh Hour Games is set to release more details on how players can generate Fire Aura and the changes made to the system.
Combat changes and animation improvements in Season 4
Season 4 of Last Epoch is on track to improve enemy hit reaction animation. This means enemies will now visually react to every hit with additional animation. These include unique animations for every specific enemy type.
With more subtle animations added to every enemy, combat is smoother and visually responsive. The Primalist is receiving a full set of animations, followed by the Rogues also receiving a full set of animations, including movement, idle, and weapon-throwing animations.
Animation updates are set to be released before the release of the major expansion of Last Epoch.

Quality-of-life updates
Season 4 also drops with several key quality-of-life updates. These include:
- Loot Filter – loot filters are set to gain improved functionality in Season 4 with the ability to filter items by Forging Potential, Legendary Potential, Weaver’s Will, and Weaver’s Touch, alongside any previous filters. New drop-sound options are also added to the game.
New items /uniques

Season 4 will also launch with multiple new unique items across every class in Last Epoch. As of now, only one unique item called Rahyeh’s Embrace has been revealed by the developers at Eleventh Hour Games. It is a unique body armor for the Primalist class.
Other than that, Season 4 will also launch with some more balance updates, skill changes, and quality-of-life updates, which will be revealed by the developers once we get closer to the launch of Season 4.
