Kim Kardashian, 45, and her daughter North West, 12, exited a Los Angeles recording studio late Monday night, highlighting the young star’s growing music career.

Kardashian opted for a casual look with a black trench coat, black trousers, comfortable shoes, and her dark hair in a messy bun. She carried a stylish purse and embraced a minimal makeup style. North matched the low-key vibe in a black sweatshirt, sweatpants with silver details, a simple ponytail, and fashionable sunglasses. The pair entered a silver SUV after the session.
North West’s Music Deal and Releases
North recently signed with Gamma, an independent label led by former Apple executive Larry Jackson. The company boasts artists like Mariah Carey, Usher, Sexyy Red, and Snoop Dogg, and collaborates with her father, Ye, on his album Bully. North, who is homeschooled, has started studio work under this partnership.
Her latest track, Piercing on My Hand, released in early February with production by Ye and Will Frenchman. The song addresses criticism of her piercings.
Live Performances and Collaborations
In January, North joined Ye for a surprise duet at his Mexico City concert, performing Only One from 2014 and Piercing on My Hand amid stage fog. Ye also played hits like Heartless, Mercy, and Can’t Tell Me Nothing.
North featured on FKA Twigs’ album EUSEXUA last January, rapping fluently in Japanese on Childlike Things. She previously sang in Japanese on Ye’s Vultures 2. At a Vultures 2 listening party in Arizona, North announced her debut album, Elementary School Dropout, saying, “Hi, it’s Northie, and I’ve been working on an album. And it’s called Elementary School Dropout.” The crowd cheered enthusiastically.
In 2024, North debuted as Young Simba in The Lion King‘s 30th anniversary concert at the Hollywood Bowl, performing I Just Can’t Wait to Be King in a lion costume.
Business Ventures
Kardashian shares North, along with Saint, 10, Chicago, 8, and Psalm, 6, with ex-husband Ye. Recent trademark filings under KimYe’s Kid Inc., with Kardashian as an officer, cover “NOR11” for clothing, accessories, jewelry, and bags. North has appeared wearing NOR11-branded hats, signaling broader plans influenced by her father’s creative legacy.
