The highly-anticipated rematch between the US and Canada must wait, as Les Rouges had been eradicated from the CONCACAF Gold Cup in a 6-5 penalty-kick choice after a 1-1 draw with Guatemala on Sunday.

Canada, which had the third-best odds to win the event behind the U.S. and Mexico, was set for a date with the US within the semifinals, however issues did not go in accordance with plan.
