Is Medicaid healthcare or welfare?

Republicans have handed President Trump’s One Large, Stunning invoice, however is it constructed on dangerous religion stereotypes?

The laws guts funding for Medicaid, and for a very long time Republicans have been attacking this system as kind of welfare for moochers. How true is that?

Brittany is joined by Joan Alker, Government Director and Co-Founding father of the Georgetown Heart for Youngsters and Households, and Jamila Michener, professor and writer of Fragmented Democracy: Medicaid, Federalism and Unequal Politics to grasp how stereotypes about who deserves medical insurance have an effect on us all.

This episode was produced by Corey Antonio. It was edited by Neena Pathak. Our Supervising Producer is Barton Girdwood. Our Government Producer is Veralyn Williams. Our VP of Programming is Yolanda Sangweni.
