Homeland Safety Secretary Kristi Noem introduced that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) brokers “are actually dealing with a 1000% improve in assaults in opposition to them as they threat their lives to arrest the worst of the worst prison unlawful aliens.”
Noem mentioned in a put up on X that these “acts of violence are fueled by sanctuary politicians’ rhetoric vilifying our legislation enforcement.”
“We won’t and haven’t let this violence cease us or sluggish us down. On a regular basis our legislation enforcement continues to implement the legislation and arrest probably the most wicked criminals together with pedophiles, terrorists, murderers, gang members, and sexual predators,” she added.
It’s unclear what the time interval is for the 1000% improve in assaults. The Division of Homeland Safety didn’t make clear the matter when requested about it by Fox Information Digital.

In July, Fox Information Digital reported that ICE officers confronted an 830% improve in assaults between Jan. 21, 2025 and July 14, 2025, in comparison with the identical interval in 2024.
That timeframe started the day after President Donald Trump returned to the Oval Workplace.
Noem made the announcement Thursday because the Trump administration is eradicating the age cap for ICE legislation enforcement positions, opening up roles to many who might have aged out of the drive.

Noem mentioned Wednesday they want to make 10,000 hires, and he or she mentioned ICE has already obtained 80,000 functions.
“We’re ENDING the age cap for ICE legislation enforcement. Certified candidates can now apply with no age restrict,” Noem wrote on X.
