Hundreds of unionized Starbucks employees plan to stroll off the job Thursday after employees licensed a strike “with no set finish date,” after the corporate failed to succeed in a contract settlement with the union. 

Starbucks Employees United is looking the strike the “pink cup revolt,” for the reason that strike coincides with the espresso chain’s annual Purple Cup Day promotion. Starbucks Employees United, which represents greater than 9,500 baristas throughout 550 Starbucks cafes, is asking for higher pay, elevated staffing and a decision of labor disputes.
