Hate crime suspect arrested at UCLA after police discover stolen posters, stun gun

UCLA police arrested a suspect on housebreaking and weapons costs, the division introduced Sunday morning.

The suspect was detained in Haines Corridor on UCLA’s campus after police discovered stolen posters honoring African American figures, a stun gun, campus keys and different objects, in accordance with the division.

The suspect faces housebreaking and weapons costs with a possible hate crime enhancement.

It was not instantly clear whether or not the suspect was affiliated with the college, in accordance with the police division.

Police additionally stated the arrest was linked to “related incidents underneath investigation since Feb 2025.”

Haines Corridor is a lecture corridor at UCLA. The constructing, which is positioned on the quad, is dwelling to the Ralph J. Bunche Middle for African American Research Library and Media Middle. UCLA’s sociology division can be within the constructing.
