The San Francisco Giants’ rotation took one other hit when right-hander Landen Roupp landed on the 15-day injured record with elbow irritation.
The transfer introduced Friday is retroactive to Wednesday for Roupp, whose MRI examination confirmed no structural points, in line with The Athletic.
The Giants are down to a few common starters with All-Stars Logan Webb and Robbie Ray and future Corridor of Famer Justin Verlander.
“In flux,” supervisor Bob Melvin stated of his rotation. “In all probability Tuesday we’ll should make a transfer. … We’ve to be ready for something.”
Roupp, 26, is 7-6 with a 3.11 ERA by 20 begins. He allowed 4 hits and struck out six in 5 scoreless innings in a 9-0 victory at Atlanta on Tuesday.
In a corresponding transfer Friday, San Francisco recalled right-hander Tristan Beck from Triple-A Sacramento. Beck, 29, is 1-0 with a 5.14 ERA in 11 video games (no begins) this season for the Giants.
