The incident occurred on Thursday night, January 22, 2026, when the woman, identified only by her first name Vane, arrived from Sao Paulo, Brazil, via a connecting flight from Doha, Qatar. During routine screening, X-ray scans revealed suspicious items in her baggage, prompting a thorough inspection by customs officials.
Examinations uncovered about 8.197 kilograms of suspected cocaine concealed within the luggage. The substance was confirmed through field testing, leading to her immediate detention.
