Crash Details

Investigators determined that a 2025 Jeep Compass, driven by a 29-year-old woman traveling westbound on Wilson Street, collided with a 2022 Acura MDX. The Acura, operated by the 52-year-old man, had just exited Highway 403 and was making a left turn onto Wilson Street at the time of impact.

A 43-year-old woman occupied the front passenger seat of the Acura.

Injuries and Response

All three individuals involved received hospital transport. The 52-year-old driver succumbed to his injuries, while the 43-year-old passenger sustained non-life-threatening wounds. The Jeep driver received treatment and remains in stable condition.

Hamilton Police Service withholds the deceased driver’s name to honor the family’s privacy.

Investigation Update

No evidence suggests speed, weather, or impairment contributed to the crash. Witnesses stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Authorities urge anyone with further details or dash camera footage to contact them.

Wilson Street closure lasted several hours for scene examination, with reopening around 4:15 a.m.
