‘Fairly Little Child’ singer Connie Francis dies at 87

Singer Connie Francis, a star of the Fifties and ‘60s recognized for her hits “Fairly Little Child” and “Silly Cupid,” has died, her publicist introduced.

She handed away on Wednesday on the age of 87. No trigger was disclosed.

“It’s with a heavy coronary heart and excessive disappointment that I inform you of the passing of my pricey good friend Connie Francis final evening,” Ron Roberts, the president of Concetta Data, a music label owned by Francis and her royalties/copyright supervisor, wrote on Fb.

“I do know that Connie would approve that her followers are among the many first to study of this unhappy information,” he continued. “Extra particulars will comply with later.”

Francis had advised her followers in March that she was in a wheelchair “to keep away from undue strain on a difficult, painful hip” and was in remedy.

In a July 2 Fb publish, she stated she was within the hospital present process assessments “to find out the trigger(s) of the acute ache” she had been experiencing. That very same day, Francis stated she had been within the intensive care unit and was transferred to a personal room.
