New Revelations from Epstein Documents
Andrew Mountbatten Windsor, formerly known as Prince Andrew, faces renewed scrutiny following the release of three million pages from the Jeffrey Epstein files. These documents uncover additional emails between Andrew and the convicted sex offender Epstein, as well as photographs that appear to depict Andrew in a compromising position over a woman on the floor.
Royal Commentary on Ongoing Scandal
Royal commentator Richard Palmer analyzed the developments, highlighting the persistent nature of the controversy. He stated, “Royal aides will likely attempt to shield the King and family members from television broadcasts and morning newspapers today. This scandal refuses to fade.”
Palmer pointed out broader implications, noting that the British government must address questions regarding Andrew’s tenure as a trade envoy. Despite efforts by the Palace to sever ties—such as revoking his honors—fresh disclosures continue to emerge, further undermining the narrative Andrew presented during his 2019 television interview.
Contradictions in Andrew’s Account
During the interview, Andrew claimed he had decided to terminate his friendship with Epstein and traveled to New York in December 2010 to do so. However, evidence from the files indicates a sustained close relationship in the months after Epstein’s release from house arrest in July 2010.
Documents show Andrew extended invitations to Epstein at Buckingham Palace. Additionally, Epstein arranged introductions for Andrew with a Russian woman, whose name also connects to another associate of Epstein’s in business circles. Palmer emphasized, “These raise very difficult questions that demand answers.”
Public Reactions
The revelations have sparked strong responses online. One observer remarked sarcastically, “Hide the remote. That’ll fix it. Not accountability, not facts, not consequences, just a tactical cushion over the headlines. Peak British crisis management: if you can’t face the scandal, face the sofa.” Another noted, “It’s the same people being mentioned over and over!”
