Eaton fireplace’s 18th sufferer has been recognized; He was an actor and a trainer

Kevin Devine was final seen outdoors of his Boston Road condominium complicated in Altadena on Jan. 7, hours after the lethal Eaton fireplace ignited. Weeks handed with out phrase of his destiny.

The county medical expert’s workplace has confirmed that Devine, 54, died in that fireside. His stays had been found April 2 within the 900 block of Boston Road, one block east of Lake Avenue.

He’s the 18th individual recognized to have died within the Eaton fireplace, and the one sufferer to perish east of Lake Avenue. Devine was recognized within the Medical Examiner’s web site on April 22.

An actor and substitute trainer, Devine spoke on the night of Jan. 7 to his frightened mom in Michigan, who referred to as after seeing reviews of fires in Los Angeles.

“I mentioned, ‘Kevin, you must depart,’ ” Margaret Devine advised The Occasions in January. “He mentioned, ‘I’m OK, Mother.’ ”
