Dallas Cowboys defensive finish Marshawn Kneeland has died … the staff introduced Thursday. He was 24 years outdated.
“It’s with excessive unhappiness that the Dallas Cowboys share that Marshawn Kneeland tragically handed away this morning,” the staff stated in an announcement.
“Marshawn was a beloved teammate and member of our group. Our ideas and prayers relating to Marshawn are together with his girlfriend Catalina and his household.”
His tragic demise comes in the course of simply his second season within the NFL. He was chosen by the Dallas Cowboys within the second spherical of the 2024 NFL Draft out of Western Michigan.
Simply days in the past, Kneeland had a spotlight play towards the Arizona Cardinals … when he recovered a blocked punt for a landing within the second quarter of the “Monday Evening Soccer” matchup.

Kneeland’s agent, Jonathan Perzley, launched an announcement on the tragic loss … saying, “I’m shattered to verify that my consumer and dearest buddy Marshawn Kneeland handed away final night time.”
“I watched him combat his manner from a hopeful child at Western Michigan with a dream of being a revered skilled for the Dallas Cowboys. Marshawn poured his coronary heart into each snap, each follow, and each second on the sector. To lose somebody together with his expertise, spirit, and goodness is a ache I can hardly put into phrases.”
He continued … “My coronary heart aches for his household, his teammates, and everybody who liked him, and I hope they really feel the assist of the complete soccer group throughout this unimaginable time. Kneeland grew up in Michigan … and went on to have a strong school profession for the Western Michigan Broncos. He had 148 mixed tackles and 13 sacks from 2019-2023.
The NFL shared its condolences … and provided its assist and counseling assets to the group.
