Chicago Cubs pitching prospect Brandon Birdsell could have season-ending surgical procedure on his proper elbow.
Assistant normal supervisor Jared Banner confirmed the information Tuesday. Birdsell will bear the process with Dr. Keith Meister in Arlington, Texas.
“We’ll have extra data after the surgical procedure,” Banner stated. “After the surgical procedure, we will discuss timelines.”
