Network Cuts Ties With Recent Hire Following Email Revelations
CBS News has reportedly moved to dismiss recently hired wellness commentator Peter Attia after revelations surfaced regarding his extensive email correspondence with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Internal sources indicate Attia’s name appears over 1,700 times in recently unsealed court documents related to Epstein’s activities.
Questionable Relationship Revealed
Analysis of the correspondence shows Attia repeatedly referred to Epstein as his “friend” in hundreds of emails exchanged between 2009 and 2019 – including numerous communications sent after Epstein’s 2008 conviction for soliciting prostitution from a minor. While the messages don’t appear to reference criminal activity, multiple exchanges contain sexually explicit content that has raised concerns within the network.
One particularly controversial 2012 message attributed to Attia reads: ‘P***y is, indeed, low carb. Still awaiting results on gluten, though.’ Industry observers note such communications appear inconsistent with Attia’s professional persona as a health and wellness authority.
Swift Corporate Response
The network’s decision comes just days after Attia’s hiring was publicly announced. Legal experts suggest CBS likely acted to prevent potential reputational damage, particularly given Epstein’s documented history of sex trafficking and abuse allegations.
Epstein, who died in prison in 2019 while awaiting trial on federal sex trafficking charges, maintained numerous high-profile connections prior to his arrest. Attia’s representatives have not yet commented publicly on the email revelations or his termination.
