The Atlanta Braves positioned right-handed reliever Daysbel Hernandez on the 15-day injured listing, retroactive to Tuesday, with proper shoulder irritation.
In a corresponding transfer, right-hander Hunter Stratton was recalled from Triple-A Gwinnett.
Hernandez, 28, has gone 4-3 with a 3.41 ERA in 39 reduction appearances this season. Over three seasons for the Braves he’s 8-3 with a 3.38 ERA in 59 reduction appearances.
Stratton, 28, made six reduction appearances for the Braves earlier this season after he was acquired in a July 1 commerce with the Pittsburgh Pirates, going 0-1 with a 1.86 ERA.
In three main league seasons for the Pirates (2023-25) and Braves, he’s 2-2 with a 3.92 ERA in 53 reduction appearances.
