The St. Louis Blues signed defenseman Philip Broberg to a six-year, $48 million extension by way of the 2031-32 season Saturday.

Broberg, 24, is in his second season with the Blues. He was slated to grow to be a restricted free agent July 1.

Broberg has 14 factors (two objectives, 12 assists) and 71 blocked pictures in 45 video games this season. The Swede is averaging a team-best 23:18 of ice time this season amongst skaters and has drawn simply six penalty minutes.
