The Chicago Bears opened the 21-day observe window on Tuesday for cornerback Kyler Gordon and offensive lineman Braxton Jones.
The pair initially went on injured reserve on Oct. 25 as Gordon handled groin and calf accidents and Jones nursed a knee damage.
Gordon, 26, returned to play in a single recreation earlier than being positioned once more on injured reserve Dec. 13. He has recorded seven tackles, one sack and one fumble restoration in three appearances.
“The hope,” per head coach Ben Johnson, is for Gordon to return to observe this week. Fellow defensive again C.J. Gardner-Johnson is in concussion protocol.
Gordon has totaled 214 tackles, 5 interceptions, 5 fumble recoveries and a pair of.5 sacks in 45 profession video games (35 begins) since being drafted by the Bears within the second spherical in 2022.
Jones, 26, has performed in six video games (4 begins) this season and 46 video games (44 begins) since being chosen by Chicago within the fifth spherical in 2022.
The Bears (11-6) gained the NFC North and host the Inexperienced Bay Packers in Saturday evening’s wild-card recreation.
