Clintons collateral damage in Democrats’ Epstein probe

An indignant Hillary Clinton and aging Bill Clinton are just collateral damage in the Democrats’ Epstein file probe that is just another tool in their quest to take down President Donald Trump.

The only ones with less credibility than the Clintons and Trump at this point are the desperate Democrats on the House Oversight Committee, like Massachusetts congressman Stephen Lynch.

The South Boston Democrat and other top Democrats on the committee have made it clear that the investigation into the Epstein file is really just an attempt to gather enough evidence to impeach Trump when or if Democrats retake the House later this year.

Lynch in particular has gained prominence as a Trump detractor as the Epstein investigation has gone along.

“I have no confidence or trust in the Trump administration when it comes to the full release of the Epstein files,” Lynch said on social media. “We would like to see all six million documents.”

Politico reported this week that Democratic “party operatives see political advantage in drawing attention to DOJ’s handling of the Epstein files, alleging the administration is working to hide information that could be damaging to the president.”

Protecting the young sexual abuse victims? The Clintons? They don’t matter at this point, the Democrats will roll over anyone who gets in the way of their goal of getting Trump.

“This is the most corrupt president to ever serve in the history of our country, and it’s the most corrupt administration to ever exist in the history of our country,” Oversight Committee ranking Democrat Rep. Robert Garcia said. “There’s no scenario where this shouldn’t be at the center of our (work) going forward.”

But Bill Clinton is a prominent part of the so-called Epstein files, although he has not been accused of criminal activity. His picture in a hot tub with a woman with her face blacked out at an Epstein party was one of the photos released by the Department of Justice.

“I saw nothing, and I did nothing wrong,” Clinton said Friday to open his closed-door testimony before House Republicans, the first former president in history to testify under subpoena.

But while he may escape criminal culpability, Clinton’s already tarnished reputation has taken a big hit over the last few months, thanks to his fellow party members’ obsession over Epstein.

Hillary Clinton contends she never met Epstein, telling House Republicans she had no knowledge of the financier’s crimes and calling her deposition this week “political theater.”

Yet the Clintons’ daughter’s wedding included as a guest Epstein associate Ghislaine Maxwell. Maxwell, serving a prison sentence for sex trafficking, also helped Bill Clinton with the Clinton Global Initiative.
