A contract safety guard was hospitalized Monday afternoon after he drove onto an airport taxiway and sped previous planes, authorities stated.
On Dec. 8 round 1:12 p.m., the guard assigned to a safety checkpoint “drove a automobile into an airport taxiway at a excessive fee of pace,” in line with a press release from John Wayne Airport spokesperson AnnaSophia Servin.
Video shared with ABC7 confirmed a white sedan rushing down the taxiway close to planes. The information outlet reported that an air site visitors controller suggested a Southwest aircraft to “maintain place.”

Orange County sheriff’s deputies detained the motive force shortly thereafter and requested a medical evaluation from the Orange County Hearth Authority, the assertion stated.
