An arrest has been made in reference to the Palisades Fireplace, which induced widespread destruction in Los Angeles County and killed a dozen folks earlier this 12 months, sources near the investigation confirmed to ABC Information.

Federal and native legislation enforcement officers are scheduled to announce a “important improvement” within the felony investigation into the fireplace on Wednesday.

The hearth erupted on Jan. 7, burning greater than 23,000 acres over greater than three weeks and destroying almost 7,000 constructions, in accordance with California fireplace officers.

It ignited the identical day because the Eaton Fireplace, which burned greater than 14,00 acres in Los Angeles County, destroying greater than 9,400 constructions and killing 19 folks, in accordance with officers.
