Anti-ICE protesters conflict with attendees outdoors TPUSA summit in Tampa

Protesters lined the streets outdoors Turning Level USA’s Pupil Motion Summit in Tampa Bay, Florida, on Saturday afternoon, rejecting President Donald Trump’s agenda and his crackdown on unlawful immigration. 

The Tampa Police Division (TPD) disrupted a short scuffle between the protesters and TPUSA attendees, after they started counter-protesting and chanting “USA” to the swarm of protesters shouting a couple of myriad of points. 

Cops have been on the scene when a battle with counter-protesters left one protester bloody on the street. 

The multi-day conservative convention has featured remarks by co-founder Charlie Kirk, Fox Information’ Greg Gutfeld, Protection Secretary Pete Hegseth, border czar Tom Homan and Donald Trump Jr., amongst different conservative leaders.

As Saturday afternoon’s summit continued inside, protesters marched outdoors, chanting, “No concern, no hate, no ICE in our state,” and “TPD, KKK, ICE – they’re all the identical.”

The protesters held giant indicators that stated, “Defeat the Trump agenda,” and one man, sporting a “public college sturdy” T-shirt, held a big, outsized mannequin of a bathroom paper roll over his head. 

Messages studying, “TP for the USA: When historical past will get messy, FLUSH IT” and “100% whitewashed,” plastered the protest signal, trolling the continuing conservative conference.

The demonstrations on Saturday adopted protests that delved into riots in Los Angeles final month, as rhetoric towards U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) brokers has reached a boiling level. 

However the message was a lot broader this weekend as protesters held indicators and chanted a couple of vary of points, from “Free Palestine” chants, rejecting the conflict in Gaza, to a “No ICE on campus” poster, talking out towards ICE raids focusing on unlawful immigrants.

One girl held an indication that stated, “Due course of,” one of many Democratic Celebration’s main arguments towards Trump’s deportations. Many indicators equated these attending the conservative gathering to “Nazis.”

After marching outdoors the TPUSA summit and confronting younger conservative attendees, protesters moved again to Metropolis Corridor for speeches. 

In keeping with the protest flier by way of Mobilize, the protest titled, “Flip the Tide In opposition to TPUSA – Reject SAS 2025!” was hosted by Tampa Bay College students for a Democratic Society (SDS), a scholar activist group, and volunteers have been organized by Indivisible.

The protesters accused TPUSA of “turning our metropolis into the staging floor for its largest youth indoctrination summit of the 12 months … to unfold an extremist agenda throughout colleges, universities, and communities.”

The protesters organized to “defend LGBTQ+ & reproductive rights”, reject censorship in colleges, “demand an finish to deportations & U.S. assist to apartheid,” and “reject white nationalism,” in line with the flier.
