Allegiant Air expands once more, provides new East Coast metropolis

Allegiant Air is at it once more, saying its second new metropolis in as many days.

This time, it is Atlantic Metropolis, New Jersey.

Allegiant will add 4 Florida routes from Atlantic Metropolis, the primary of which begins in December.

It is the airline’s third enlargement throughout the previous month, cumulatively protecting 16 new routes and two new cities. Allegiant’s different new vacation spot — Huntsville, Alabama — was simply introduced yesterday.

As for Atlantic Metropolis, Allegiant’s debut will come Dec. 11, when it launches service to Fort Lauderdale. The three different Florida routes — St. Petersburg, Orlando and Punta Gorda — will all be in service by mid-February. Introductory fares start at $39 one-way.

The service can even ramp up competitors at Atlantic Metropolis Worldwide Airport (ACY), the place Spirit Airways has lengthy dominated the airport. Spirit is at the moment the one service providing passenger flights from Atlantic Metropolis, although American Airways gives a “flight-by-bus” connection to its Philadelphia Worldwide Airport (PHL) hub.

All 4 of Allegiant’s new routes will go to markets already served by Spirit, although Spirit flies to totally different airports in three of these.
