Algeria sentences French soccer journalist to seven years in jail

Algerian authorities have sentenced a French sports activities journalist, identified for his protection of African soccer, to seven years in jail on costs of “gloriying terrorism”, in keeping with media rights group Reporters With out Borders (RSF). Christophe Gleizes, 36, a contributor to So Foot journal, was ordered by a court docket in Tizi Ouzou to be taken into custody instantly.
