Alaska Airways resumed operations late Sunday about 3 hours after having requested a floor cease for all of its flights, in keeping with the airline and the Federal Aviation Administration.
“At roughly 8 p.m. Pacific on Sunday, Alaska Airways skilled an IT outage that’s impacting our operations. We requested a brief, system-wide floor cease for Alaska and Horizon Air flights till the problem is resolved,” the airline stated in a press release Sunday night.
The airline stated it resumed operations at about 11 p.m. PT.
“We apologize to our company for this inconvenience. There shall be residual impacts to our operation all through the night. In case you are touring tonight, please verify the standing of your flight earlier than leaving for the airport,” the assertion continued.
